No more Marah Experiences II

Exodus 15:23-25
Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?”  So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet.

Take a closer look at our text scripture. Moses’ action is very significant and profound. He took a two- way action (he cried out to the Lord and also cast the tree into the waters). Prayer is two-edged in nature (see Psalm 149:6-9). It involves talking to God and also talking to the situation. Often times, we tend to cry to God and neglect the responsibility of addressing the situation. Neglecting this aspect may leave you frustrated and angry at God.

Whenever God’s plan is about to manifest in your life, there is a devil somewhere waiting to sabotage it. You have to resist him (see James 4:7). Notice, James 4:7 is two-faced (submitting to God and resisting the devil). Possess your land, drive out all the squatters in your land and gain possession. So, stop blaming God for the strange woman that has laid her hold on your husband. You have what it takes to deal with the problem- your mouth. Use it. Address the situation by commanding a reverse on the spell of the enemy over your husband’s mind. Declare that the snare over him is broken and his soul has escaped from its hold (see Psalm 124:7).

Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Use the power in your tongue and begin to declare life over every beneficial situation in your life that is dead. Command every empty situation to be full. Command your barns to be full, supplying all kinds of produce; command your sons to be as plants grown up in their youth. Command your sheep to bring forth thousands in your field. And your oxen be strong to labour that there be no breaking in or out, or complaining in your streets (psalm 144:12-15).

Beloved, always remember, that the stronger your glory, the stronger the contention. However, through the declaration of the word of God from your mouth, the bitter waters experiences has been reversed in your favour.

Prayer: Every bitter situation in my life, I command you to give way to the expression of the glory of God within me. My testimony will be undeniable

Meditation: Psalm 149:6-9
