The blessing and your location

Hebrews 11:8
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out not knowing where he was going.
Though the blessing is on you, its expression is not automatic; it is only accessible by God’s leading and directions. The blessing upon Abraham was not restricted to a particular location. God needed to move him from the familiar and comfortable to a place where his capacity could be expanded to accommodate the manifestations of the blessing. Our text scripture emphasizes how Abraham stepped out in faith into the unknown. He took a step, trusting the Omniscient nature of God to direct him to the location best suited for him at that season of his life.
God’s leading may seem unreasonable or unclear to your senses, but it is His nature to use the foolish things of this world to confound the wise (see 1 Corinthians 1:27). Instead of getting a clear picture, you may seem to be getting only glimpses of His plan. God’s preferred way of leading you is to hold you by the hand, each step after the other, but He needs you to trust Him wholeheartedly (see Isaiah 30:21).
Have you been nudged by the Holy Spirit to the unfamiliar, but you simply cannot fathom how you can head in that direction and make progress? Remember, your preferred location or chosen career path may not be God’s best for you. Abraham looked beyond his preferences and wholeheartedly followed God’s leading. Take a cue from Abraham, look beyond your preferences, step out in faith and concede your will to Him. Faith is the infallible technology by which you can access God’s glorious future for you. Your foresight and understanding are limited, but God sees the end from the beginning. The Holy Spirit is always waiting to lead you by the hand into the unfamiliar, adhere to His leading.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, I ask for sensitivity to Your leading and to trust You wholeheartedly, as You guide my steps into the unfamiliar.
